On December 2, 2024, Power Engineering Consulting and Construction Joint Stock Company No. 5 (PCC5) signed the contract for Package No. 13: Substation Construction, under the project 220kV Binh My Substation and Connection Works, with the Southern Power Projects Management Board.

Main Scope of Work:
Substation construction including site leveling, stone spreading, construction of equipment foundations, power transformer foundations, control building, shift dormitory, cable trenches, gantry structures, equipment supports, water supply and drainage systems, fencing, access roads, and internal roads.
Project Overview:
The project includes the construction of a new 220kV substation with a total capacity of 2x250MVA (Phase 1 installs one 250MVA transformer). Additionally, a new 220kV double-circuit and quad-circuit transmission line of approximately 2.4 km in length will be built to connect Binh My Substation to the 220kV Binh Duong 1 – Uyen Hung – Song May line.

Reduce load on existing 220/110kV transformers and 110kV transmission lines in the area

Align with the Revised Power Development Plan VII, Power Development Plan VIII, and Binh Duong Provincial Power Development Plan 2016–2025 (vision to 2035)
